Do you still remember the Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD lens that we posted in December last year? The company will release this DSLR lens in Japan on April 15th, 2011. As a reminder, the Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD lens is known as the world’s highest zoom range at 15x magnification for a lens with its compact size and light weight, with the added value of Tamron’s proprietary VC (Vibration Compensation) image stabilization. The lens adopts the company’s new PZD (Piezo Drive) AutoFocus technology. [Tamron]

The Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD lens is known as the world’s lightest and smallest 15x travel zoom for DSLR cameras with an APS-C sized sensor. Weighing at just 450 grams, the lens features a focal range equivalent to that of an imaginary 27-405mm (Nikon/Sony versions) or 29-432mm (Canon version) zoom lens. This easy-to-carry lens also has an ultrasonic Piezo AF motor that delivers faster and quieter focusing when the AutoFocus is engaged. The Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD lens will be released in the UK later this month for £649.99 (US$1,023). [Tamron]

Tamron has announced the development of a 70-300mm f/4-5.6 zoom lens featuring image stabilization and an ultrasonic auto-focus drive. The SP 70-300mm F4-5.6 Di VC USD is the company’s first lens to feature its latest Ultrasonic Silent Drive (USD) Auto Focus motor, with full-time manual focus override. The optical design includes an element made from Extra-Low Dispersion (XLD) glass, said to have optical properties similar to fluorite. Designed for both full-frame and APS-C digital SLRs, the lens will be initially available in Nikon mount followed by Canon and Sony versions. [Tamron]
Tamron has announced the availability of its 17-50mm f/2.8 Di II VC midrange zoom for Canon mount. This image stabilized version of the company’s popular APS-C format fast standard zoom, announced in September, will ship from the end of this month. It is already available for Nikon with a built-in motor.
