Phase One has release an update to its Capture One 4, PRO and DB RAW workflow software. The update, version 4.8, provides support for both the Olympus E-620 and Olympus E-30 – the companies new DSLRs. Version 4.8 also provides support for Phase One’s own P40+ and P65+ medium format cameras, as well as the Leica D-Lux 4. [ WDC - phaseone ]
Phase Ones Capture One version 4.7 introduces a new enhanced image package file format to make it easier to share adjusted Phase One digital back-generated RAW files. Mamiya is the pioneer of the large format gears, and they have been working together with Phase one since 2006, rumor said that Mamiya is bringing complementary abilities to company, but Toshio Midorikawa, president of Mamiya Digital Imaging argued that :
“Together, Phase One and Mamiya Digital Imaging own all competencies required for developing superior, innovative medium-format camera systems. Our combined expertise comprises digitalization, camera fine mechanics, optics design and production, and broad ranges of software and firmware capabilities,” he said. “And as a result of our close collaboration, new products are just around the corner. We plan to introduce both new leaf shutter lenses and even more super lightweight focal plane shutter lenses in 2009. We aim to offer the world’s widest range of medium format lenses for Mamiya and Phase One camera platforms.”
