Panasonic has finally announced the suggested retail prices of the Panasonic LUMIX G2 and LUMIX G10 Micro Four Thirds cameras. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G2 is known as the world’s first mirrorless interchangeable-lens system camera featuring a touch-sensitive screen. This camera is priced at $799.95. Meanwhile, the Lumix DMC-G10 adopts the lightest interchangeable-lens camera with an EVF. The G10 retails for $599.95. Both Micro Four Thirds cameras come equipped with the new Lumix G Vario 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S. lens. [TechFresh]

Panasonic Korea has recently rolled out two new digital cameras in the South Korean market. Known as the Lumix TS2 and Lumix ZS7, the former is a successor to the Lumix TS1. This rugged 14MP digicam is designed for active outdoor use. It is waterproof up to 33 feet (10 meters), shockproof to 10 feet (2 meters), freeze-proof to 14° F (-10° C) and dustproof. The new Panasonic Lumix TS2 records HD videos in Motion JPEG and AVCHD Lite. Other features include a 2.7-inch, 230,000-dot Intelligent LCD with a wide-viewing angle and a 28mm wide-angle LEICA DC VARIO ELMAR lens that extends to a 4.6x optical zoom.

Meanwhile, the Panasonic Lumix ZS7 is a superzoon compact camera that boasts a 25mm ultra-wide-angle Leica lens and a powerful 12x optical zoom. The 12.1MP camera also features a new built-in GPS (Global Positioning System) feature that embeds photos and videos with the latitude and longitude location details. Panasonic today introduced the AG-AF100, which is the first Pro micro 4/3-inch video camcorder optimized for high-definition video recording. Targeted at the video and film production communities, the full 1080 and 720 production camera provides a superior video handling, a native 1080/24p recording, variable frame rates, professional audio capabilities, and a compatibility with SDHC and SDXC media. The AG-AF100 comes equipped with an interchangeable lens mount, so you can use an array of low-cost, widely-available still camera lenses as well as film-style lenses with fixed focal lengths and primes. Panasonic is out with new firmware updates for its Lumix DMC-GH1, DMC-G1 and the Lumix G Vario HD 14-140mm F4.0-5.8 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. lens. The firmware version 1.1 improves the performance of the DMC-GH1, while the firmware version 1.3 for DMC-G1 improves the compatibility of Micro Four Thirds lens, finally the firmware version 1.1 for Lumix G Vario HD 14-140mm improves O.I.S. in movie recording mode and compatibility of Micro Four Thirds camera. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS7 has been released in Europe in early 2009. The camera is now available in the Japanese market. Available in four colors including Silver, Blue, Pink and Green, the camera features 10MP CMOS sensor with a 4x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch wide view LCD. It is also able to record VGA video at 30fps.
