Panasonic will release the HM-TA20 full HD waterproof camera in Japan. The camera features a triple tough design that is waterproof, shockproof and dustproof and Night View mode for shooting in dim lighting. Additionally, the Panasonic HM-TA20 also has a large 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD display that enables easy and intuitive operation anywhere and anytime. The TA20 supports the MPEG-4 AVC file format (MP4), which is convenient for uploading and editing images with a PC or the Internet. Panasonic will launch this rugged compact camera in June 2011. Panasonic has recently introduced a couple of new compact digital cameras with a superb optical zoom, the DMC-TZ20 and DMC-TZ18. Both travel-zoom compact cameras provide a 16x optical zoom lens, a 14.1-megapixel MOS sensor, a 3-inch LCD screen, HD video recording capabilities and manual controls. The Panasonic DMC-TZ20 is a higher model that offers a high-resolution 460,000-dot touchscreen, full 1080i HD movies, a 3D Photo mode and an improved GPS system. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT3 is specifically designed for active users who want to capture high-quality photos and 1920×1080 full High Definition videos. This compact digital camera incorporates a powerful rugged design and new outdoor-friendly features, such as a built-in GPS function, a compass, an altimeter and a barometer. The 12.1 Megapixel Panasonic Lumix FT3 features a 28mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens, an optical zoom up to 4.6x, the Intelligent Resolution technology and the Intelligent Zoom that extends the zoom to 6x equivalent. It is also waterproof up to approximately 40 feet (12m), shockproof to approximately 6.6 feet (2m), freezeproof to 14ºF (-10 degrees C) and dustproof. The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX77 digital camera is part of the Lumix FX-Series of stylish and compact digital cameras. The camera features a new Smart Touch operation on the large 3.5-inch 16:9 aspect LCD display, allowing for intuitive touch operation, including Touch AF, Touch Zoom, Touch Shutter and Touch Playback. The Panasonic Lumix FX77 also incorporates a new high quality LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT 24mm ultra wide angle lens with a 5x optical zoom with F2.5 aperture. The lens especially excels not only in shooting dynamic landscapes with its wide angle of view but also in capturing moving subjects even in low-light situations such as indoors or at night with its outstanding brightness. The 24mm wide-angle lens provides approximately 213% larger viewing space when compared to a traditional 35mm camera. Comprising 7 elements in 6 groups, including 3 aspherical lenses with 5 aspherical surfaces, this high-performing lens has been designed to fit the slim body, while still offering exceptional photo and video quality.
