Olympus and Panasonic have both been developing Micro Four Thirds Systems, but they could be leaving the Four Thirds System behind.
Two manufacturers Panasonic and Olympus heading in different directions, I think because the path is tight for giants to walk together. So someone is keep going but the other one stay still or not yet leave.
In a statement to ePHOTOzine, Fiona Gaitens from Panasonic UK said:
“If the market requirement exists there is nothing to stop us developing four thirds cameras in the future. But currently all of our resources have been concentrated on developing the Micro Four Thirds system.”
Panasonic hope to use the Micro Four Thirds system in a range of cameras and they have already announced that a follow up to the G1 will be released with a video feature.

Olympus, Nikon and Canon have announced firmware updates. Canon’s firmware update for the Canon WFT-E3/E3A wireless transmitter will now make it compatible on the 50D. The firmware update for Nikon D80 and D200 corrects the problem of light flashing empty, inspite of it being fully charged, commonly known as the ‘Dead Battery Syndrome’. Meanwhile, firmware v1.1 for the Olympus E-520 and E-420 improves the brightness level of AF target points in the Viewfinder.

Olympus Zuko has a good optical lens quality, I have no doubt with it.
Even the focus motor which is relatively slow and noisy, and the lack of a focus range limiter switch, I still recommend.
The features of Olympus Zuko 50mm 1:2.0 macro:
• 50mm fixed focal length; fast F2.0 maximum aperture
• Macro focusing: 1:2 maximum magnification (1:1 35mm equivalent)
• ‘Focus by wire’ manual focus system
• Four Thirds mount for Olympus and Panasonic dSLRS
• Price $410
Based on Dpreview, Olympus Zuko 50mm offers a winning combination of optical quality and solid build in a compact package. With its relatively fast maximum aperture, it also offers Four Thirds users the opportunity to use true selective focus effects. Quite simply, every E-system user should own one.

Olympus displayed a pre-production DSLR to be positioned between its E520 and E3, and launched before Christmas, an an early prototype of what its first Micro Four Thirds camera might look like. Olympus are giving away few details about their new camera, other than the dimensions.
The Olympus SP-565 UZ boasts an extraordinary zoom range, a full 20x magnification equivalent to a huge 26 – 520mm zoom in 35mm photography, all in a compact 13-ounce body.
The ultra-compact lens gives you unmatched shooting versatility. The amazing 20x optical zoom brings you closer to the action.
The camera offers a full range of automatic and manual options, making it appropriate for beginner. The price will be around $400
