Do you still remember the Nikon D3100 that we posted in August last year? This DSLR camera is now available in a new paint job. The red Nikon D3100 has the same 14.2-megapixel Nikon DX format CMOS sensor, a fixed three-inch TFT LCD display, and Full HD video recording capability as the original D3100. The new red Nikon D3100 will be launched in Europe and the US on September 22nd, 2011. [Nikon]

The Nikon Coolpix S1200pj is a 14.1-megapixel compact digital camera that offers compatibility with iOS devices. What makes this digicam special is that it features a built-in 20-lumen projector that can project photos and video up to 60-inch diagonally. Compatible with iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, the Coolpix S1200pj can project images, movies and web content from these devices. Abel Verdezoto has designed the Nikon D800 concept. It is a new approach to ergonomics reflex camera for recording video. The camera has a rotating handle, allowing you to hold it like a traditional camcorder. The rubber grip is removable, while the texture is very soft. Nikon has officially announced the AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G lens, which features an all-new optical formula, a weather-sealed mount and an instant manual override. Weighing at just 185 grams, the lens features seven elements in six groups, including one aspherical element. The dedicated Silent Wave Motor (SWM) ensures quiet auto focus as well as full-time access to manual focus. The new Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G lens is compatible with Nikon’s modern film and FX-format digital SLR cameras. What’s more, the lens also provides a 75mm (equivalent) focal length when used with the Nikon DX-format DSLRs. Each purchase of this prime lens comes equipped with a lens hood and a soft pouch. The Nikon ME-1 DSLR microphone is a new accessory for the Nikon D5100 DSLR. The device is designed to filter out AutoFocus noise and wind noise. This microphone draws its power from the D5100 and attaches to the hotshoe on top of the camera. The Nikon ME-1 DSLR microphone will be available in April 2011 for $180 a pop. [Crunchgear]

Nikon has unveiled the new D5100 upper-entry-level DSLR. The camera features a 16.2 MP CMOS sensor, 1080p movie capability and a side-articulated 3.0-inch tilt/swivel LCD display. The Nikon D5100 is also the first Nikon DSLR to provide in-camera effects that can be applied to both photos and movies to deliver even more creative expression. The new D5100 allows photographers of all levels to confidently execute new and creative ways to tell stories with amazing color and clarity. The super sharp LCD has a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 921,000-dot resolution, with the ability to rotate 180 degrees horizontally and vertically.
