It has been a month ago dpreview reviewed nikon-d700, for more dcresource talked about it again.
Despite the core elements of the D700 essentially being the same as D3′s.
Beginning with the similarities, the same full-frame, FX format CMOS sensor outputs an effective of 12.1MP.
Nikon claims that this ensures smooth tonal gradations in both Raw and JPEG files, with the single-engine processing responsible for rapid operational speed and a high noise ratio up to ISO 6400.

Nikon UK is offering the Capture NX2 software FREE with the Nikon D700 DSLR. Customers purchasing a D700 camera from 1st November to 31st December 2008 can claim a free copy of the software.
Anyway the bonus isn’t interesting at all, for $3.000 bonus, isn’t decent. I prefer get lower price rather than software.

Just take a quick glance for the review of D700 so many pros than cons, honestly it will make you disappointed for what you bought already.
Anyway for Nikon lover with $2.800 on your pocket you can bring D700 the ‘compact’ pro bracket to your crib.
