Lensbaby has recently released its newest SLR creative effects camera lens, the Composer Pro. Available for Canon, Nikon, Sony Alpha, Pentax and Olympus DSLR mounts, the Composer Pro refines and enhances the popular and award winning Lensbaby Composer by upgrading the swivel ball and focus mechanism to provide professional performance. The Composer Pro’s metal swivel ball design and refined focus mechanism deliver ultra-smooth focus and tilt control. The updated focus mechanism features a fluid and accurate dampened focus ring comparable to the focus mechanisms of the highest quality professional manual focus lenses.

The Composer Pro is compatible with the Lensbaby Optic Swap System and ships with either the Double Glass Optic or the new Sweet 35 Optic installed. Each optic creates a Sweet Spot of sharp focus that photographers can move around the photo by tilting the Composer Pro’s swiveling lens body. The Composer Pro is also compatible with the complete range of creative optics in the Lensbaby Optic Swap System including the Fisheye, Soft Focus, Pinhole/Zone plate, Single Glass, and Plastic. Each optic can be swapped into the Composer Pro to deliver a different creative effect. The Lensbaby Composer Pro will retail for $300 (with the Double Glass Optic installed) or for $400 (with the Sweet 35 Optic installed). The Lensbaby Tilt Transformer allows photographers to mount any Nikon mount lens onto their Micro Four Thirds or Sony NEX camera and tilt up to twice as far as standard tilt-shift lenses. When you tilt, you get a slice of sharp focus through your image that falls off into beautiful blur. You can also mount the Composer Focus Front on your Tilt Transformer to create the Composer with Tilt Transformer. This set-up allows you to enjoy the limitless creativity of the Lensbaby Optic Swap System. Lensbaby has announced the addition of Soft Focus and Fisheye lenses, The Soft Focus Optic offer 50mm, it creates a velvety soft image perfect for portraits, flowers, landscapes or any subject that needs a soft touch. Soft Focus has a look that is evenly soft throughout the image without the Sweet Spot of sharp focus created by our selective focus optic.

The Fisheye Optic offers 12mm focal length and 160 degree field of view captures eye-popping fisheye views from infinity all the way down to one inch from the front of your lens.
Both are compatible with Lensbaby’s Composer and Muse body units.
The lenses both use Lensbaby’s familiar removable disk aperture system, although unlike earlier optics, they do not feature a ‘sweet spot’ of focus. The Fisheye optic is now available for $149.95, while the Soft Focus Optic is $89.95.
