Polaroid has unveiled the new SC1630 Android HD Camera at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in the Las Vegas Convention Center’s Central Hall (booth #13613) from January 10 – 13, 2012. Known as the world’s first Android-powered digital camera, the Polaroid SC1630 Android HD Camera features a 16-megapixel CCD sensor with a 3x optical zoom lens, a 3.2-inch touchscreen display, Wi-Fi capabilities, face and smile detection, geo-tagging, a micro SD card (up to 32GB), one button upload to popular social media networks and in camera photo editing. The camera runs on the Google Android 2.3.4 operating system. Available in grey, red, blue, pink and yellow, the Polaroid SC1630 Android HD Camera will be launched in April 2012 for US$299.99. Our friends in Japan will be able to buy the new Panasonic HDC-Z10000 3D camcorder. Panasonic will launch this 3D camcorder in that country. Designed for semi-professionals, the Panasonic HDC-Z10000 features a new lens with “nano surface coating,” a new “crystal engine PRO II,” and dual 3MOS sensors. As its name suggests, this high-end camcorder is able to capture high quality Full HD 3D images. JVC has finally unveiled the pricing of its GC-PX10 digital camera. For your info, the JVC GC-PX10 is known as “the hybrid digital camera” because it is able to shoot pictures and videos simultaneously. The camera captures 12-megapixel still pictures and records full HD 1920 x 1080/60p videos. The JVC GC-PX10 provides professional-level capabilities including 60 shots per second still image shooting, 300 frames-per-second video recording for high-quality super-slow motion, a time-lapse recording and the ability to capture pristine still images from video. Additional specs include a built-in 32GB flash memory, an SDXC/SDHC/SD card slot for storage expansion, a 10x optical zoom with optical image stabilization and a 3-inch tilt-able touch-sensitive display. According to rumors, Nikon will announced the Nikon D800 DSLR on October 26th, 2011. As a successor to the Nikon D700, this new semi-pro camera has a superb 36-megapixels full frame FX sensor that allows the camera to capture Full HD videos in 1920 x 1080/30p. The Nikon D800 also has a 4fps continuous shooting mode, a larger LCD display with an automatic brightness adjustment, a shutter durability of 200,000 cycles, a USB 3.0 port, two CF card slots and an SD card slot.
