Digital Camera Info just reviewed this  small, compact Nikon S230, point-and-shoot camera which features a 3-inch touchscreen display. The rest of the features are pedestrian, with a 3x optical zoom and 10 megapixels onboard. Not surprising given the S320′s tiny size, this is definitely a pocketable camera. It has been three holiday group tests at dpreview lately, first is budged cameras, the winner is Panasonic Lumix LZ8 .
Second group is ultra compact with the winner are Canon SD 790 IS and Panasonic DMC-FX37.

On the compact camera side, the Sigma DP2 is the latest camera from the manufacturer to use the sensor from a DSLR (in this case, the SD14/SD15′s 14.1 megapixel Foveon X3) in a fixed-lens compact.These new model’s specifications are largely identical to the DP1′s but it comes with a 41mm lens. Sigma offers improved processing speed, operation and performance.

The DP2 is equipped with a pop up (manual) built-in flash. It is possible to use Normal Flash, Red-Eye Reduction Flash and Slow Synchro Mode. It also features flash exposure compensation in 1/3 stops increments. Manual Focus is available for use when autofocus or focus lock is not effective.
