Casio has issued a firmware update for the TRYX compact digital camera. The firmware version 1.01 brings the following enhancements and improvements:
- Adds an LED light [Auto] mode.
- Adds an icon to the REC mode screen for switching to the PLAY mode.
- Changes the REC icon and PLAY icon designs.
- Adds a function for displaying the remaining number of shots and movie recording time.
- Improves connection with Mac OS9.

Casio Japan today introduced a new limited edition Exilim EX-S200 camera, which was designed to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Astro Boy. The camera features a 14-megapixel 1/2.3-inch CCD sensor, a 27mm lens with a 4x optical zoom and a 2.7-inch (480×320) LCD display. The Casio Exilim EX-S200 Astro Boy Limited Edition digicam also has special icons and frames based on characters appearing in the cult Manga/Anime series. Casio today released a new firmware update for the Casio Exilim EX-H20G compact digital camera. The firmware version 1.01 enables the camera to write all positioning log data stored in its memory to a memory card. This output log will be saved as a *.kml file. The company has also issued the user’s guide for this function. Owners of the Casio Exilim EX-H20G can download the firmware software here.

Casio has released the firmware update version 1.01 for Exilim EX-Z2000 and EX-Z220 that will improve these camera’s performance. The Casio Exilim EX-Z2000/Z220 boasts a 14.1 effective megapixel sensor with a wide-angle 26mm 5X optical zoom and a 3.0-inch Super Clear LCD display with a high resolution of approximately 460,000 pixels. Additional features include a CCD-shift image stabilization, an HD Movie function, and a long-life battery (580 shots on a single full charge).
