Leica X1 Firmware Update Version 2.0

Here is good news for all Leica X1 owners, because the company has issued a new firmware update for this camera. The firmware update version 2.0 offers the following improvements:
- improved image quality
- shorter time lag between exposures
- improved AF response, especially in low-light conditions and in the case of low contrast subjects
- improved MF setting accuracy due to monitor image now always based on wide open aperture

Not so good news for me. Upon installation of the firmware 2.0 update, my camera monitor would flash brightly, when snapping a photo. Now, the monitor does not working at all.
At least there is the two-year warranty–which is good news for me–since this is the second time I’ll be sending in the camera for repair. The first repair involved replacement of peeling-off leather and replacement of one of the neck strap eyelets which fell off of the camera.
Did you install the firmware perfectly?
