The Genius G-Shot HD575T camcorder is capable of shooting Full HD 1080p/30fps video in H.264 format with the 5.0-megapixel CMOS sensor. The camcorder can also capture 16-megapixel picture using software interpolation. Rollei today introduced a new mamber from its Powerflex line-up. Dubbed as the Rollei Powerflex 800, it is an ultra-light compact camera with a 12.5x optical zoom lens (24-300mm in 35mm format), which is combined with a high-quality 14-megapixel Sony image sensor and a large 2.7-inch colour display with 230.000 resolution.

Measuring 102.9mm x 58.7mm x 21.1mm, the camera supports a super macro mode for short distances from 1-30cm, 22 different shooting modes, a 720p HD video mode and a night-photography mode with which is perfect for taking pictures in low light environment. Available in black, silver and red, the Rollei Powerflex 800 will be released in April 2012 for €199.95 (US$262).

Carl Zeiss is back with its latest super-wide-angle lens, the Distagon T* 15mm F2.8. Designed for Canon EF and Nikon F mounts, the lens features an optical formula that consists of 15 lens elements in 12 groups. The Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 15mm f/2.8 is able to focus from only 25cm (10-inch close-focus point) and provides a diagonal angle of view of 110°.

What makes this super wide angle lens special is that it incorporates two aspheric lenses and special types of glass material with abnormal partial dispersion to provide an extraordinary correction of chromatic aberration. This lens has an integrated lens hood and a 95mm filter thread. The Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 15mm f/2.8 will be released in May 2012 at a recommended retail price of €2,148 or US$2,948 (excluding VAT).
