Rollei today introduced a new mamber from its Powerflex line-up. Dubbed as the Rollei Powerflex 800, it is an ultra-light compact camera with a 12.5x optical zoom lens (24-300mm in 35mm format), which is combined with a high-quality 14-megapixel Sony image sensor and a large 2.7-inch colour display with 230.000 resolution.
Measuring 102.9mm x 58.7mm x 21.1mm, the camera supports a super macro mode for short distances from 1-30cm, 22 different shooting modes, a 720p HD video mode and a night-photography mode with which is perfect for taking pictures in low light environment. Rollei has entered the 3D digital camera market by releasing the Rollei Powerflex 3D. Rollei’s new 3D camera comes equipped with a 2.8-inch rear display screen that uses the Parallax Barrier Display technology, so that you can marvel at three-dimensional pictures and videos without any special glasses whatsoever. The Rollei Powerflex 3D also features a pair of lenses that work simultaneously with 1/2.5-inch CMOS image sensors to capture 3D pictures with a maximum resolution of 2592 x 1944 pixels. The camera can also record video in brilliant HD quality (1280×720) at 30 images per second. The two-eye, 5-megapixel Powerflex can naturally also photograph and film in 2D. An 8x digital zoom is available in 2D mode as well. Pressing a button on the camera switches between 3D and 2D shooting modes. Rollei’s Flexipod 100 flexible camera tripod features rubber legs, which can be bent and rotated through 360 degrees, thus allowing users to place it on just about any surface, and even attach it to certain objects. Measuring 200mm x 40mm x 40mm and weighing at just 102grams, the Flexipod 100 is perfect for nighttime and time-lapse shots, as well as family portraits using a self-timer function in one’s own living room. Portrait, landscape and macro shots are also quite easy to take, thanks to the small clamp mounts, which can even be used to attach the tripod to a tree. The flexible tripod from Rollei can hold compact cameras and mini camcorders with a weight of up to 800grams. This 14-megapixel digital camera has a 5x optical zoom, a 26-130mm equivalent lens, an optical image stabilization and in-camera stitching for effortless panoramic photography. High definition movie recording at 1280×720 pixels and 30 frames per second rounds off the features list. The Rollei Compactline 390SE will be available from specialist retailers from the end of October 2010 at a recommended retail price of €149.95. Rollei will introduce the Rollei Kids 100 at IFA and Photokina 2010. This camera is designed for the smallest hobby photographers who want to discover the world of digital photography. Available only in Orange, the Rollei Kids 100 comes equipped with a Xenon flash, a 1.5-inch LCD screen and a 64MB of internal memory, which is enough for approximately 500 VGA-resolution photos.
