Kodak is ready for CES 2009 and they has two cameras for you to see.
First is The Z980 comes with a 26mm wide angle lens and a 24x image stabilized optical zoom. It also has a 12 megapixel image sensor, a vertical shutter release, HD video capture and a vertical detachable grip. The camera should arrive this spring for the mere price of $399.95.

The other camera is the EasyShare M380 point and shoot camera which is a 10 megapixel camera with a 5x optical zoom, a 2.7 inch LCD monitor and a $179 price tag. Stick around with us if you’re buying cameras. Who knows what else CES 2009 will reveal?

Cameras.co.uk reviewed the Fuji Finepix S8100 FD, which is a mid-range super zoom digital camera. The digicam works because of its cheap price tag and overall performance was found to be quite decent. The S8100 has a decent feature set but image noise was quite noticeable at higher ISOs.

Nikon releases firmware update version 1.1 for the Coolpix P6000. The following improvements have been made:
1) When pictures were taken with the Wide Converter WC-E76, with the Wide-angle converter and Distortion control items in the shooting menu set to On, the effects of distortion control were weak.
2) When Autofocus mode in the shooting menu was added to My Menu and autofocus mode set to Full-time AF, the setting was displayed as Single AF in My Menu

Got help from google translate, even not all understand, i had followed photographybay‘s post about the next Pentax which they found at Chinese forum – DCHome.net.
The next Pentax K30D has :

Olympus and Panasonic have both been developing Micro Four Thirds Systems, but they could be leaving the Four Thirds System behind.

Two manufacturers Panasonic and Olympus heading in different directions, I think because the path is tight for giants to walk together. So someone is keep going but the other one stay still or not yet leave.

In a statement to ePHOTOzine, Fiona Gaitens from Panasonic UK said:

“If the market requirement exists there is nothing to stop us developing four thirds cameras in the future. But currently all of our resources have been concentrated on developing the Micro Four Thirds system.”

Panasonic hope to use the Micro Four Thirds system in a range of cameras and they have already announced that a follow up to the G1 will be released with a video feature.
