Praktica has rolled out the Luxmedia 14-Z50S digital camera. The 14-megapixel camera is equipped with a 5x optical zoom lens (26-130 mm) with optical image stabilization, a 3-inch (7,6cm) TFT color monitor and a 32MB of internal memory. The Luxmedia 14-Z50S also features face and smile detection, blink detection, intelligent scene mode and Lomo fish eye lens mode. Video recording is supported in 1280 x 720 HD, 640×480 and 320×240 video resolutions with 3 seconds pre-recording. [dcviews]
The Praktica DPix 5000WP is a new 5-megapixel waterproof digital camera, which is compliant with the IPX8 standard. This fixed-focus digicam comes jam packed with a 5.14mm lens, a super-tiny 1/3.2-inch CMOS sensor, five white balance settings, five scene modes and an auto-exposure system with +/-2EV exposure compensation available. The camera is able to capture 5-megapixel still pictures and record 720p HD videos at 30 frames per second. Powered by a pair of AAA batteries (not included), the Praktica DPix 5000WP will be available for €63.98 or around $83. [dcviews]

The spanking new camera boasts a 3x optical lens with a 1/2.3 CCD sensor, a 2.7-inch TFT color display, a 32MB of built-in memory, smile detection, PASM mode, face tracking, digital anti-shake, blink detection and intelligent scene mode.
