Dpreview has review the lens of Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC LD Aspherical
(IF) MACRO.
Tamron AF 18-270mm represents an impressive feat of optical engineering, and Tamron has to be applauded for producing a superzoom that has significantly longer telephoto reach than its direct competitors without further compromising image quality.
They found some optical problem with these lens which tagged $600, but overall Tamron where it’s weak it’s not too far behind the competition.

Darren asked digital-photography-school ( DPS ) readers their favorite Lens?
The post is so general, it would be more useful to have a post for each of the main system, such Canon, Nikon, Sony, etc, anyway Darren favorite is Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens
I love it because it is fast (2.8 with image stabilization makes it great in low light) and has a really handy focal range which makes it useful for sports, wildlife, weddings/social gatherings and even portraits.

SLR Gear reviewed the Panasonic 14-45mm ƒ/3.5-5.6 OIS lens that also ships with the G1 as its kit lens. On testing the lens, the reviewer found the images to be sharp especially in wide-angle settings. The lens did produce some negligible chromatic aberration and the reviewer also noticed a small amount of barrel distortion at all focal lengths.

At the same time with announcement of Olympus DSLR E-30, Olympus announces the ZUIKO DIGITAL 14-54mm f2.8-3.5 II Four Thirds System lens.
These lens boast a high-speed image auto focus and AF live View Shooting, and it has good contrast as clean as real, sharp picture imaging, and has excellent close-up shooting capabilities.
Even without image stabilization, I hope this bright new lens can suitable with Four Thirds System lovers.

First glance when digitalrev tried this lens, are the size and weight. For a lens with such a big zoom range, it’s not very imposing in size and weight. It only weighs about 560g and is about 10cm in length extending to about 16cm. As a Nikon lens, it works on pretty much any Nikon DX camera.
Another words from DigitalRev
It’s the perfect all-round, good-for-any-day-of-the-week lens. If you could only choose one lens to use, this would make a very good choice. Photographs were sharp and clear on any focal length; there was no hint of ghosting, of vignetting or any problems in the photographs. Pretty much the only problem with this lens, is that it’s back-ordered and you may have to wait before you can get one.
