Ricoh Japan has unveiled the new CX6 superzoom compact digital camera. The camera features a 10-megapixel back-lit CMOS sensor, a 28-300mm equivalent (10.7X) image-stabilized zoom lens and a 3.0-inch 1.23 million dot VGA LCD display.

In addition, the digicam also provides Aperture and Shutter Priority exposure modes, super-fast autofocus speeds of 0.1 seconds and a dedicated movie shooting button. Folks in Japan will be able to purchase the Ricoh CX6 on December 3rd, 2011 for 44,800 Yen or around US$580. Read more…

Genius has launched the FaceCam 3000 HD webcam in the North American market. The webcam features a superior 3-megapixel sensor and a precise fixed focus lens to provide sharp and colorful high definition video. The Genius FaceCam 3000 HD webcam supports 720P HD resolution (1280 x 720) video with a frame rate of up to 30 frames per second (FPS). Pentax today announced the availability of the new firmware update version 1.01 for the Pentax Q compact digital camera. The new firmware update improves the resolution when the in-camera sharpening level is set to “Fine Sharpness”. The firmware also improves overall stability. Fujifilm will launch the FinePix JX420 in Japan. Measuring 95.2mm x 57.2mm x 24.3mm and weighing 124 grams, the compact digital camera features a 16-megapixel CCD sensor with a 28mm wide-angle lens, a 5x optical zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD display, up to ISO 1600 (expendable to ISO 3200) and an SDHC/SD card slot. The digicam also supports a 10cm Macro mode and a 720p HD video recording capability.

Available in black, silver, pink and red, the Fujifilm FinePix JX420 will be launched in early November 2011 for 13,000 Yen or around US$170. Read more…

Fujifilm has unveiled the X100 Special Edition. Available only 200 units, the camera features a tan leather casing and a leather case that matches the original. For your info, the Fujifilm X100 is equipped with a 12.3-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor, an EXR processor, a 23mm F2 Fujinon lens, a 2.8-inch LCD display, an ISO range of 200 to 6400 and an SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot.
